Do you need to certify and legalize your FBI background check for China?

In order to satisfy the requirements of a China work Visa (Z Visa), you will need to certify and legalize your FBI background check and University or College degree.

This article will discuss the steps necessary in order to obtain your FBI background check through an FBI channeler or the FBI directly. If you need to certify and legalize your FBI and degree for China, please contact us so we can email you the instructions, cost, and order forms.

The first step is to contact an approved FBI Channeler to assist you in obtaining your FBI background check. We can provide you a list of recommended Channelers by email.

If the FBI Channeler is unable to help, please contact the FBI directly.

If you receive your FBI background check in a digital format (PDF copy), go ahead and e-mail it to us with the completed order form and payment (see below). If you receive your FBI background by regular mail (Hard copy), go ahead and mail it to our Washington DC office with our order forms (see below). Note: We can process a digital PDF copy or a hard copy. It’s your choice. The Chinese Embassy does not have a preference. Please also include a color copy of your USA passport. An FBI background check does not require notarization and cannot be processed from any US state. This document can only be processed through the US Department of State and the Chinese Embassy in Washington, D.C.

In order to process your documents for China, you will need to mail in your signed and notarized diploma and your FBI background check. In order to have your diploma signed and notarized, you will need to contact the University and request your diploma to be signed by the Registrar and notarized by a notary public. The notary public must notarize the signature and name of the Registrar.
