In order to apostille your driving record, it must be signed by the issuer and notarized. For example, if your driving record is from California, you will need to contact the California Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) and request the record to be signed by a representative of the DMV and notarized.
Note: Some states may issue a driving record that already has an official signature from a state representative and may not need notarization. Be sure to order a certified copy online or directly from the Department of Motor Vehicle. For example, in New York, a driving record is signed by the acting Commissioner and does not require notarization.
